Attention Crew 342:
Here is our latest newsletter. This is all the information you need to know as discussed
at the last few meetings.

1- Bethlehem United Methodist (our sponsor church) is doing a blood drive in mid-August. 
This is going to be done to help the church and for service hours. You need to make your
plans to attend if possible. The date and description of what we will be doing will be
announced at the next meeting.

2- We are making posters for our pool party we are having on August 18. This party is to
attract new members. The cost will be $5 per person, unless they sign up that night then
the fee will be dropped (covered by the Crew). There will be pizza and drinks there. Jeff
Oakley volunteered to let us use his pool. His address is 802 Raylewood Road, Greensboro,
NC 27406. We need everyone to create a poster or at least have a drawn out idea by next
meeting!

3- We are planning on doing the Shotgun merit badge for Troop 342 (and possibly others)
on August 11 (moved from August 4). We will need NRA training to be able to put on this
merit badge. The training will most likely be on a couple of Thursday nights. Make your
plans to attend the training and help with the merit badge if you possibly can.

4- Sometime in August (date at next meeting) we will be able to help with trash pickup at
the golf tournament. The crew will be give $2.50 per hour for every one of us who works. 
This is a definite must do.

5- McCrae go some new stuff for our crew chuck box we are building, including a nice,
almost new stove.

6- I am working on putting an archive of our newsletters on the crew website, so go check
it out ( http://www.troop342nc.com/venturing).

7- Me and McCrae are working on polishing a promotional video for the crew. When it is
done we will be able to use it when we go to area troops to solicit new members. We will
be going out to the area troops soon to do this and we will need volunteers (groups of 2)
 to go out and present this to them and present the crew to them.

8- The next meeting will be July 12, 2007. Don't miss it!
